No reads?

I think folding is probably fine.

Got it. Sure, I think your fold is fine then man. Against TT, 88, ATs+, A8s, KhQh, KhJh, KhTh, QhJh, QhTh, JhTh, Jh9h, Th9h, ATo+, A8o, you have 36% equity.

I'd treat his large raise as a shove (he's not folding now).

So the "pot" is 227 and it costs us 173 to continue.

So we require 227:173 = 1.3:1 = 43% equity to continue.

We can tweak his range a bit, but you really have to do some acrobatics to find a way to continue.... it's not a call (or shove). The only sure way to get a call (or shove) is if we remove the possibility of AK (didn't raise pre) and/or add worse Ax (not terribly likely).

Just removing AK gets us to a touch below 42% equity, still not enough.

And of course adding T8 only makes it worse.

I think you're spot on with a (tank) fold for now.

I'd kind of look at this that you only beat AJ and draws. Don't know if he'd play AK this way, but AT, A8s are in his range as are TT, 88. He could have a bunch of draws but without reads, and given stacks, size of pot, position, nice fold.
It may not be a clear cut spot to fold or ship, but calling and playing this hand OOP is brutal and I don't want to ship AQ here. Nice fold.

The above is a fine rundown of the equity.

I would add that we know the villain will shove most of his value hands this way, and we must only guess if he shoves his draws this way, thus adding to the fold result IMO.

With no reads it is gambling to stack off with one pair.
If you are there to gamble then call.
If you are posting the hand then obviously you are a serious player who understands stack protection, so a it is a necessary fold. A better spot will always come along and you wont be playing catch up now.

Snap fold.

Unless there is a weird dynamic, most people don't raise half their stack if they can't beat top top

With our smallish stack, I would raise to 10% (~$23) so that I could stack off postflop with TP easily. Also a bigger raise has a better chance at narrowing the field (although we did manage to accomplish this with the small raise).

Thanks to our small raise, we've created an SPR that we probably shouldn't stack off with postflop with TP. As played, I think the bet/fold is fine on the flop.
