2/4 -- hero has a very tight winning image. 1000eff., most of the table covers me.

Villain is very loose, raises a lot pre with a wide range, limps a lot –– very wide range pre. Post flop he'll call down too light, but isn't clueless either. He also knows I'm playing tight.

Hand:

There's a straddle, I raise to 30 in EP with AQ, one caller behind me, then folds to villain in blind who calls.

Flop (90): K83r

Villain checks, I bet 50, fold, Villain calls.

Turn (190): Acc

Villain isn't happy (it seems) and checks. I bet 80, villain sort of makes a crying call.

River (350): 4o

Villain thinks a moment like he's not sure what do to –– check? bet?. This is kind of weird, I think. I don't know what to make of it. It would make sense if there were any draws that missed. I don't understand what he's thinking about.

I bet 80 again hoping to get another crying call from a K.

Thoughts?

I think a bet/fold line is best. I don't like the sizing very much because it may induce a bluff. I have read that if you bet the exact same amount as the previous street, many have determined this as a tell for a weak/med strength holding and almost never a monster.

I know that you are sizing down to exploit this exact Villain in this exact situation. I guess the question is, if he has Kx, will he call $80 but not $200......

If the answer is yes, then your sizing is fine but again, betting this small could induce a bluff.

Nobody check raise bluffs the river. I go about $120 on the river but Id bet that with KQ also.
