is there any material out there that specifically deal with 1/2 1/3 live games? I know bart has some videos on 5/5 5/10 and I've seen all his videos on dc, but those games don't really play like the 1/2 1/3 games that I normally play. open raise sizes such as 5x, 6x calling raises with q3o, calling 3 streets with gutshot and bottom pair. thats more common for me.

focus on getting better understanding of poker in general, then adjust to live pokers.

You should check out the various Stickies at the top of this LLSNL forum for some excellent links to get you on your way.

Read a book. Ed Miller is a good start. Really though 1/2 is so weak that if you know the fundamentals of poker you should beat it. No need to run elaborate bluffs or FPS so stick with the basics.

i think i have to disagree with the logic that terrible plays make the game easy to beat. in my opinion these games are harder to beat, because of the terrible play. i mean if you play online in a fr game and open from early position, that usually gets a little respect, and opponents aren't calling with junk. but in these games a player looks down at 95o and calls. how much are you liking aa with 5 other players in the hand on a drawy board.

you don't make your money with AA/KK in low limit games as they are often only a 1 pair hand and not a lot of people put in a lot of money with only 1 pair

Terrible play makes the game amazing. The only time it's challenging is for veteran online players who are used to playing several levels deep and closer to a "solved" strategy.

LLSNL villains have the main leak of not folding. This leak is taken advantage of via bluffing less and value betting larger and thinner.

Seriously bolded is all you need to know to beat 1/2 or 1/3.

When I first transitioned to live I thought "what the hell, these players never fold, this game sucks"

Then it hit me. "OMG, these players NEVER fold, this is the greatest game ever played."

Your AA example is a common competent player leak. You need to find the " sweet spot" raise for 1/2. Most open, $6-$8, some $10-$12.

I open all my value hands $15. Over limpers $17-$20. YOU WILL STILL GET CALLS. I argue this all the time. Sure the first time everyone might fold but after a few large raises everyone will just assume you're insane and flat their KJo or w/e.

There's a ton more but yea cliffs are bluff little, value bet large and thin, and open (value hands) larger than the table average. A decent clip larger.

I disagree with this. I think AA/KK are a huge chunk of people's winrates. (This applies not only to LLSNL but all Full Ring NLHE games).
