Friday 3:00 A.M. SESHION EXTRACTING VALUE WITH A FLUSH Friday 3:00 A.M. SESHION EXTRACTING VALUE WITH A FLUSH

I raised preflop middle position in a 1/2 game to $8.00 at the casino. I was holding QJ suited diamonds and I get One caller.

flop is favorable and provides equity for me with two diamonds. I cbet $10 into a $16.00 pot.

A brick comes on the turn and I feel my opponent is aggressive so I check to him because I don't have a pair anyway just ace high. Unfortunately he's more passive then I thought and he doesn't bet to try and take down the pot.

The river gives me a flush with another diamond. Hero?

Should I bet into him or risk the hand by checking and going check check......... Squeezing value out of flushes is one of the difficult decisions I have to make. Once the flush draw presences itself, some of the more experienced people seem to see it right away. ( MAJOR QUESTION HOW DO YOU SQUEEZE THE MOST VALUE WITH A FLUSH)

Additional thoughts:
Spoiler:
I know I should have been able to squeeze more value out of that flush if he called $10 on the flop. I think I should have bet the turn, so would maybe a $15-$20 bet be low enough for him to call that's a passive player BTW.............................. If I was playing an aggressive player in this posistion I'm pretty sure he would have raised me or flat called on the flop. In that case I most likely would have called and pretended weak so he'd fire again on the turn. If an aggressive player did raise my $10 flop bet to $20-$25 I would call. Then the turn let him do the betting, say he bet $40 and I called then on the river the flush comes....

Welcome to the forum, OP. Please read the stickies on formatting a hand history. This was really hard to read, and still is missing some info and has other important stuff buried, even after I added line breaks. In particular, stack sizes and actual cards matter, not just the suits.

Also, please don't post results. I edited those out too. I'm not going to respond on the hand, since I've seen results and it biases responses.

Sucks we have no board to read and we're operating on feels of who our villain is.

Looks like a 2 barrel and definitely 3 barrel if the flush comes in.

I'm definitely betting river. His checking likely means he's got a showdown value hand or a draw. If he ha a draw, we only lose to Kx flush drawws and Ax flush draw, if he has a value hand they like to pay to see the suckout.

$30 is the bet into a $36 pot.
