Playing in a 1/3 game,7 handed with about $400 effective

look @ QdQc otb with 1 limper from mp and a $6 straddle utg, I raise to $30 and only the straddle calls

KhQsJh

villian checks i c bet$45

9h , basically the werst card in the deck lol

Villians leads out for $100 , i fold

He had about $200 m ore behind after his $100 raise , and I had a lot of live outs equaling me to have about 20% equity vs the bottom of his value range (except drawing dead to the one str8 flush ), and with me getting direct odds of 3/2 to call the turn this call is still not profitable even if he always stacks off if the board pairs (implied odds) , correct?

You're getting 5 to 2 pot odds on the turn (Required Equity: 28.6%). With 9 outs (Ignoring the Qh due to lacking payoff/potential to get stacked), you have just over 20% equity, so you'd be required to receive 4 to 1 in total odds (Pot odds + Implied odds) to make calling profitable. That's another 3 to 2 in implied odds, or $150 win when you improve.

To profit, you need to win $150 on average when you improve. The math assumes you're never ahead, which is quite likely.
