1-2nl live foxwoods
villian is a kinda young "reggy" player according to the fishies on my right who say they see him here daily and he consistantly buys in for 60 and then moves tables when he doubles up according to these guys.

villian played a hand against me earlier where he limp shoved about 60 total vs my 20 dollar button raise when there was like 5 limpers and i called it off w AJ he showed KK and rivered quads - i made a basically breakeven at best call of 20bb getting 2:1 to come to the conclusion that he is pretty much super straightforward and understands the concept of protecting hands etc.

2 fishies to my right limp i look down at 87o and consider popping it to 14 or so but i think about how bad my image is lately because i've been doing a lot of position raising and cbetting and taking it down 99% of the time so they think i'm doing a lot of stealing and am super AGRO lag. also one particular fish kept talkin about a game last night w/ 'crazy asians who made it 1-2-17 or 1-2-12 or 1-2-15' every hand and how he would just 'trap them by letting them do the betting for them' so ive been seein a lotta that typa play from this particular fish to my immediate right. he is doing stuff like overlimping button with KK with 5 limpers 'expecting me to raise from the blinds' even tho i basically never do but when i do its like 15xbb and its with a premium holding this session. hes also super spewy pre in the sense that hes limping a lotta garbage in all positions and literally 'blind calling' from SB every time theres no preflop raise and even sometimes with preflop raises and 'blind checking' every flop/turn/river he has the oportunity to. so needless to say its quite likely he is showing up with monsters preflop so in order to avoid outplaying myself and putting in more money than i should with a less than premium holding i opted to limp here. idk if this is a leak in my game but the situation comes up quite often in live where i look down at mediocre hands on the button with a buncha limpers and i tend to just try to go with my gut based on what i think my image is and stack sizes etc. but this time i just called preflop - we can discuss that later im more concerned about flop tho

flop

k 8 7 (i dont have any of those suits but not that it matters really)

checks to guy on my right who bets 10 bucks and i quickly raise to 45 and then that original 10 dollar bettor starts talkin bout how its an overbet and how he thinks he is ahead etc etc etc when BB (villian from the AJ vs KK hand) min raises to 90$ and only has about 13$ left after that raise.

folds backs to the original 10$ bettor who thinks for a lil bit and ends up mucking (what he claimed later to be KQ and claimed he was gonna min re-raise me to 75 if it got to him to 'see where he is at')

villian took about 25-30 seconds to make his reraise and claims he 'will show me either way' which to me seems like he is proud of his hand

i ended up thinking only for like 10 seconds max and ended up folding and feeling good about it...

anyone disagree?

Fold pre.As played we can basically rule out all sets since he would raise kk and you have blockers to 88 77. Now the hands that beat you k8 k7 are definitely in his range and make sense with his description. Flush draws are also in play but the fact that he will show you if you fold(usually someone saying this is bluffing from my expierence but he seems like scared money if he hit and runs ) makes me think he has 2 pair and he's afraid you'll call it off with a draw. Bottom line for me is fold pre .and fold to the reraise. Not sure I'm raising the original $10 either ,probly keeping the pot small as possible here.

Whats your position? Depends on table but 87o is not a fold by default. Fold flop though youre not good

I'd go all in. He's a short stack (so being wrong isn't too costly) and it's possible he's just gambling with a draw or top pair.

i kind of agree with this. i think short stacks shove TPGK a lot here.

not raising a 10 dollar bet seems like super scared money here - and given what i said about hand i did have the best hand if it were heads up vs the 10 dollar bettor cuz he had KQ here and its tough for him to have anything better than KQ and considering his line of thinking/style of play anything but raising here looks leaky to me.

and i like how u said KK is out of his range and 77/88 unlikely cuz of blockers - good thinking i didn't realize the blocker thing but i didnt imagine him showing up with KK

the part about him being scared money and being willing to show his cards without me asking made him seem super strong to me

Spoiler:
i fold he shows k7
