Fold top set of Kings? Fold top set of Kings?

Seriously, lol.

Easiest way to determine what to do in this spot: which is bigger mistake?

Fold top set and forfeit $150 pot?

or make a slightly -EV play?

Should be brain dead easy.

Same game $2/$3 Hero with $625 holding QJo.

V - Covers all stacks - Young, unknown, haven't seen any holdings yet apart from AK on KKx board. Seems to have some idea at this stage, but playing pretty snug, nothing strange seen.

Pick up the action on the flop, 5 ways to flop for $15 pre.

(Pot $75) - QJx checks around (including PFA) to hero IP who bets $60, folds to opp who is immediately on my right and he announces call in fairly standard time, not super quick call, not tank, just normal timing.

(Pot $195) - Turn 2, V donk leads $120, hero?

Cheers Mac
Unless there are some pretty amazing circumstances (such as folded to us in the HJ, we raise, and every single person behind us calls) I don't think I'd ever find myself in a 5way raised pot with QJo. Pretty sure there should be a fold preflop somewhere.

I'm fine with flop.

I'd fold turn to someone who isn't getting out of line, and probably against most others too.

ETA: This case really isn't as similar since top two pair is so much weaker than top set; it's behind a lot more hands, and has far fewer outs if behind.

Did you mention in a previous post that villain has a flush? Bc it seems like everyone is just operating under the assumption villain has a flush every single time in this spot. Yes, as played, if villain leads $100 and shows you 89hh face up it's a fold. This could be 44, TT, AT with Ah, one combo of AK with Ah, and maybe even QJ with a heart. Yeah most of the time this is probably a flush that is not the nut flush, but villain's range is still worth bringing up.
Agree with lots, particularly this one.

The bigger preflop raise wlll get it HU, and less likely to run into a strange 2 pr, may also deny some the correct odds to set mine.

The bigger cbet here, as mentioned, will get you to the river against a flush with the right odds.

Most draws will pay almost any price, if they are going to pay any price. I haven't noticed many V checking bet vs pot size to determine if they are coming along.

In this case, your description seems like OP is always showing up with a flush here. Does he ever flop a set and wait for the turn to complete a draw before shoving it all in?

sigh fold for me.

Fold here. He has a flush almost always and you don't have the right odds to fill up.

Surprised to see so many people advocating a fold. I've seen enough villains play AhTx like this to where I'm getting it in.
