3/5 five handed

Main villain is unknown MAWG with $500. Hero $1,000 and villain 2 is whale/maniac with $1,500.

Hero raise KTo UTG $20, UTG+1 whale/maniac calls, BB calls.

Flop: ($59) QJ9r
BB check, I check, UTG+1 bets $40, we both call.
Turn: ($179) Q completing rainbow
Check to UTG+1 bets $75, we both call.
River: ($404) 6
BB leads for $175, I click back to $350. I thought this put him all in but it actually left him ~$15 left. UTG+1 folds.

Should I just be calling that river? I was hoping V2 would stick around or get out of line but in retrospect we’re too strong here for him to do anything I suppose.

Fold pre open suited combos only. You need to be betting this all the way, or at least c/r the flop for God’s sake. Never folding to BB the way this hand was played but not raising either.

Edit: missed it was 5-handed. I can get behind an open.

Pre is too loose 5-handed

Mistake(s) post are compounded by pre.

flop and turn are ok, although I prefer betting a lot more

river shove is def fine ap, if you got coolered then gg, don't open KTo pre (not being results-oriented, even if you win here KTo is not an open pre)

Even five-handed...? What’s the bottom of your UTG opening range here?

KJo.

6-max opening KTo from HJ is pretty spew, KTo is the bottom of a CO RFI.

If you're opening KTo you're raising 25-30% from HJ which you'll basically never see advocated on training sites/preflop charts (not that I really follow them or believe they are that great).
