I'm not trying to argue anything. Just posting the video I had in mind with the original AIDS comment. Edit locked on me before I could get it on there.

Bet on every street. Bed anything on the flop. Why worry of him folding. Just bet now and also bet turn and river. What is the most natural play when you have the best hand? - Bet .., wtf? So, go ahead and bet.

As played, now raise the turn to compensate for the dollars mistake on the flop.

Your table differs from my table if your "loose" table somehow folded to the Button and a $9 raise didn't get both blinds to call. Still, I like preflop.

What are stack sizes? With $300 = 100bb stacks, are SPR is a big 17, so we're going to need some massive bets to have a reasonable river shove.

I threw up all over myself with the flop check back. It is *so* bad. We have a lag aggro image, and this board could have easily smacked her in the face (draws, pair + draw, two pairs, bottom straight, whatever). If she has nothing, or a small underpair which is drawing to a 22:1 shot, she's not continuing, so we ignore those hands. She's not going to bluff. Pot is $17. I'd probably go $30 to make it look like I'm bullying her with my aggro image and just hope she has the top part of the range I'm targetting (which she could easily have).

On the turn I attempt to correct my flop mistake (which is probably incorrectable). There are a bunch of scare cards that could kill action. She could still have a monster (2 pair, etc.). Unless stacks are stupid deep, I would raise an amount where I could play for stacks on the river. If that means a raise to $80, then that's what I'd do.

I think you lose a lot of action by checking the flop and raising the turn compared to just betting two streets. It looks much stronger. You also won't catch many turn bluffs from a nit by checking the flop, so just bet. Part of being a nit is being passive, usually. You have to create your own action against passive players.

OP at some point you replied, "OK I shoulda bet flop smallish". No no no. Bet at least PSB. If V is calling, they prob have a huge hand or draw, make them pay through the nose. None of this suck-bet silliness. Get fat value.

yeah checking the flop was really really bad. Don't ever count on small stakes to do the betting for you, especially when you have already seen limped family pots that go check check to showdown.

raise to 80?
GG, if you are late to an appointment, somehow still dawdle on the first few miles, you should not drive 200mph on the last 5 minutes to correct your mistake...

Again, it's unclear what stack sizes are, but we have a hand that wants to play for stacks and it's possible she has a hand that will want to do that (and yet will fold everything else). So simply target her good hands, bet whatever amount puts stacks into play on the river, and forget about her other hands (cuz if she's folding top two to a small raise, she's obviously folding everything else to basically any raise). As I say, it's tough to recover from our massive mistake on the flop, but it's the best we can do at this point.
