Flopped the nuts but got the worse runout possible Flopped the nuts but got the worse runout possible

2/5
V is a reg white male mid twenties. Plays very ABC. He's somewhere between a nit and a tag, but plays certain spots a little more passively than a more Aggro reg. Ex. He will overlimp or limp in from EP rather than come in for a raise. Stays very in line.

UTG2 limps. V is EP and limps in (500).
Hero is Sb (covers) Jh9s and completes.
BB checks.
Flop (20) JJ9r. Hero bets 10. 2 folds and V raises to 35.
Hero reraises to 100 and V calls.
Turn (220) Qo. Hero bets 125 and V quickly calls.
River (470) 10s.
Is this just a Jam w the remaining stacks being ~200?
This runout is so gross and this straightforward players range at this point is Primarily QJ and JT. He does not have any straights in his range besides KJ but I think that's the bottom of his ISO range preflop. Maybe not...

Not sure how much I like the 3bet otf. You can still gii over 3 streets if you just barely overpot it ott and otr. This way he continues with T9, Jx, QT..etc.

AP its Zeebo's theorem.

Well, thats a sick hand for sure.

This might sound crazy, but I think its the right play ;

OTR, I'd check and see what V does. If he shoves that river, given his profile, we are almost always beat. We beat one of 3 hands with which he shoves, and thats KJ (and he might not even shove it on a paired board). The other two are QJ and JT. I don't think he ever has 99 here, he wouldn't raise your flop bet if he did.

If he checks, you'll win against AJ (he'll know you only need a K to beat him), sometimes KJ (might wuss out on pair board), or the very unlikey J8 (same as AJ, a K beats him).

This might sound like an impossible thing to do when you're actually in the hand looking down at your napkins, but I think you have to be able to find a fold in that spot. There's no point in GII if you know you're losing the hand, even if its a monster. Especially when you can clearly see a bigger monster in front.

I don't even know if I could do it myself (most probably not, actually), but i think its a fold if V bets the river. Zeebos theorem also states theres a 1% of times where someone will fold a fullhouse...and thats probably done by the top 1% of all players, which is why they crush everyone else.

yeah, that is a bad runout, but for 3.4:1, you are never folding, so might as well shove the river since V is going to be shoving if he made his boat anyway.
