2/5 NL

Hero in MP with 77 ($650)
Villain in UTG raises to $20 ($450)
Hero calls
LP calls

Flop:
333

Villain quickly bets $185
Hero???

Villain is a middle aged Asian player who seems to have been playing all night and is playing fairly tight. This is the first pot in about 1.5 hours that I have seen him take any initiative and is one of the only three hands I have seen him PFR. Is this a jam or call? Is folding ever an option?

yes of course folding is an option. 7s i would just muck. if we have like 10s thats is a tough spot, because basically we are the top of our range, unless we have 3 so like if we are folding 10s we are basically folding are entire range besides quads to this bet

this is an easy fold. If he had 66, congratulations to him.

The fact that you called this a "Flopped Full House" tells me that you are probably overvaluing your hand here. Sure, you technically have a full house, and if the turn is a 3 then you technically have quads. However, in reality on a turned 3 you would have jack crap which isn't much worse than what you have here. Even if he is getting out of line with a couple overcards he still has a decent chance to improve against your hand.

Insta-muck. As the preflop raiser, V has all higher pairs (better full houses) in his range. Your 77 is basically a bluff catcher. No reason to think V is getting out of line with overcards, especially given his insane bet sizing.

This would be a completely different situation if you flopped top boat, like 7-3-3. That would be a very strong hand. What you have here is a weak full house.

You lose to every overpair, and he has them all in his range. I don't really see how you can soul read this bet size as AK or worse.

You call preflop with 77 because you can flop a set and stack AA/KK. It doesn't really matter if the flop comes 259 or 333. Your have pretty much the same equity against AA on both boards.

I love having AA on low boards like this because I can pot/pot/shove and get called down by mid pairs all the time. For some reason at these stakes people just go nutso with weak overpairs on low boards and it's insanely exploitable. Most likely that is exactly what this guy is doing here. He doesn't think you have the ability to fold any pocket pair here, and has made a bet that is straight up disrespectful.

isn’t it fun to get pounced on in a 2+2 thread?

Your oringinalnpost essentially states your up against a high pair much of the time. As stated by many, folding seems best.
