Flopped Bottom Straight - 1/2 NL Flopped Bottom Straight - 1/2 NL

Hi all - had an interesting conversation with a friend today about a hand he played at Maryland Live. Wanted to post it on here to hear thoughts:

$1/$2 NL - 10 handed
Effective Stacks - ~$300

Preflop
Hero gets 89 in late position. There are 2 limpers in front, hero limps, 2 limpers after, SB completes, and big blind checks.

Flop
Pot = $16
QJT
Small Blind bets $10
Early Position Player raises to $36
Hero reraises to $76
All fold - including small blind
Early Position Player pushes all in

It is a little over $200 for Hero to call. What decision do you guys make? What range do you put Villain on? Any other critiques about the hand preflop and on the flop?

Thanks,
Cappy

Prolly supposed to be a fold.
But I'm too lazy to run any ranges.

There is a lot of AK/K9 in a EP limpers range because lollivepoker.

Assume no reads. He sat down briefly before this so it's fairly early into the session.

Lol, I'm lazy to run ranges too. Do you think there's a lot of AK in unknown's limping ranges? I think K9 is def there, but AK seems much less likely, no?

This depends a lot on live reads. Being old could add AK to his range as well as QQ-TT. Younger guy could show up here with A9s, J9s, etc. Tough decision.

The ~min raise is bad sizing. $100 all day.

Just call and reload. It's really not even close as he has lots of [2p, 1p+draw] hands in his range.

Also, V's line isn't all that common for the nutz. I'd expect K9.

I think most people who limp AK, are the same type people who would not raise this flop. With no reads whatsoever, I would shove here and expect to be ahead most of the time.

Pretty much this. It would be HUUUUGELY rare for this to be AK as played, so you lose to 16 combos of K9, compared to a worst case scenario 18 combos of JT/QT, and likely a lot more besides. This isn't even close.
