2/5 game. Hero (600) Villian(345) is a complete unknown, so no reads or info at all.

3 limpers, I limp w A4ss, villain limps, BB makes it 25, all call, I call, villain calls. pot 125

Flop is A34dd. BB checks, all check, I bet 80, Villian calls, all else fold.pot 285

Turn is 5x. I check as a sort of way to induce a bluff from a flush draw, or to trick him into thinking 35, 45 is good here, also see what he does and get a read off of him. villain bets 120 with with 120 behind. I tank a few minutes trying to get a read but no such luck. I think if he has a flush draw with a 5 or 56 he bets this, so I just put him all in bc him having a 2 seems unlikely, I am more concerned about A5 actually.

Should I have just jammed turn to push out a flush draw, c/f turn, possibly c/c turn with no intention of folding any river?? Thoughts on all streets welcome

Seems fine to me. PF and Flop are fine and you checked to induce ... so what else did you want? Was the A on the board a diamond? Could effect things a bit, but you got what you wanted and jamming is fine as you are ahead often enough here.

checking turn to induce was an insta-decision that could be completely backwards logic. im not saying it was the right play, im saying its what I did

Limping behind preflop is fine if the table is limpy, but fold to the raise. Not deep enough to play A4s to a raise. Flop bet is fine, there are too many possible hands to risk checking and villain could have any number of Ax hands that call. On turn, villain has less then pot sized bet and is probably drawing to beat hero, so I shove.

The turn situation is very villain dependent, but against an unknown I'm putting a lot of AX, flush draws and straight draws in villain's range. Most of these hands check turn and only get it in on river if they beat us. Checking to induce here is weird and won't work much when villain is this short. In fact, there are few hands hero beats that bet here and I might even fold to $120 because it looks so much like a suck bet.

with less than a psb left i'm still committed here. shoving and betting a little less will have the same effect. no reason to check to induce with some relevant history btwn you two or how he plays

there are 36 combos of pair+straight combos with a deuce, and many more combos of Ax, fds, and weaker 2pr combos you can continue to get value from
