In a game recently I get aces and raise, two callers to flop, flop is A 8 4 rainbow. Pot is about 36 dollars. I c-bet $10. Small bet, hoping to trap an aggressive opponent, or let opponents catch up. Thoughts?

Open shove flop so they can't suck out and it looks like a bluff

Great position to be in top set, it's very player dependent here and what there stacks sizes are. Because you want to keep them in whilst still betting for value. Put them on a range and bet accordingly your small bet increases the bluffing frequency of your opponents so it's not such a bad idea but I would continue to bet all streets here

OP, you should bet more or bet less or check or do exactly what you did, but since you didn't mention stack sizes, position or opponent tendencies, no-one can properly answer your question without writing a novel. Not sure why anyone should put in that effort if you can't be bothered to mention the basics.
