Just want to get some opinions on my bet sizing throughout this hand also a line check.

Didn't want to have fancy play syndrome here. I feel the most exploitative feature of LLSNL is the value side.

Utg- limps 3$

Utg+2- limps 3$

HJ- limps 3$

BTN- limps 3$

Hero(650$effective) SB- completes the 3$ 106

BTN- checks

Pot- $18

On to the flop

987

hero- checks...I thought about leading but being so connected I felt the best way to get the pot juicy is with a check raise.

Do you guys donk lead? or check raise?

BB- checks

Utg- bets 15$

HJ- calls 15$

BTN- calls 15$

Hero(SB)- raises to $70 retrospect I think I should have went bigger?

BB- folds

UTg- folds

HJ- folds

BTN- calls 70$

Pot= $188

Turn- 2

Hero- $115

BTN- calls $115

Pot- $418

River- J

Hero- has roughly $500 behind

What bet sizing do you take here? Not the greatest of rivers. If we bet and get jammed on are we forced to call? What range do you put him on? This player was loose passive preflop. Post flop he played very abc. If the pot was big and he was in there he was strong.

I probably prefer a $20 lead on the flop, but don't mind the c/r. I think the sizing was on the small side of okay ($80ish ideal).

On the turn I would have gone slightly bigger, $125 - $150.

As played, I would just shove river. While the river isn't a good card for us, I actually think it is much better than pairing the board. You don't give us any info on villain, but at the 1/3 level I find there are still folks who can't give up a set here and "have to see it". I don't think there is any way I am folding now... this is also dependent on your image. I guess I usually have a more aggressive image than the villains I play against, so I can get looked up in spots like this when they have sets.

I think a lead on the flop is substantially better. A couple of many reasons. 56 and sets are likely to raise get it in. There are a lot of value targets that aren't betting and many of them are boned. For example you want a 9 to call and ideally improve. When you cr you can blow away hands as strong as 2p.

Stuffing 500 otr is too much in my games, especially with the flush coming in. I'd shoot for a crying call. Maybe $190.

No, can't fold if raised except against specific Vs.

This hand is too junky to play for a limp for me on the Button, so I ain't playing it OOP in the SB (even with the slight price discount).

One of the reasons I don't like playing 3 gappers is that they can make RIO second best straights. In a limped pot, the last thing I'm thinking of is attempting to play for 215bb stacks here due to this. So I'd just likely bet/bet/bet and then evaluate if raised. Again, I just don't like our thinking here, especially with the ol' adage "someone always has JT in a multiway pot".

I'd probably bet the river extremely small to hopefully get paid by 2 pair type hands, like maybe even just $50. If he shoves we'll likely have to call just hoping to chop.

I'm grunching, and likely mostly be outvoted, and yeah I know we have the second nuts on the flop, but the more multiway it is and the deeper we are compared to the lol pot, the more we shouldn't be stampeding off to playing for stacks, imo.

I would donk this flop close to 100% of the time. No one is going to give you credit for a str8 and you may even get someone to raise you and you can then decide whether to 3! or call and CR the turn. Even if you don't get raised, you want to build the pot.

River isn't incredible, but I am never folding. Realistically what clubs can he have that gets to the river in this way? Only a few combos to be honest and you might have heard from them on the turn. I think he was way more sets/two pairs in his range than flushes or str8s so I am going for max value here. I bet like $275-$325 and call a shove. I don't like shove really just based the $ size and how it looks to two pair/sets.
