1-3-5 home game, 8 handed. Most stacks are about 200BB or more.
Hero ($700): Been playing pretty standard. Betting good hands only pf and in position, not doing anything out of line.
Villain ($850): Extremely aggressive. Has been caught floating a-lot of boards with big bets on the river. Has been showing his bluffs and his range is very wide.

Hero has AQ

Preflop: UTG bets $12, Villain (MP2) raises to $25, 2 callers, Hero (button) 3-bets to $75, Villain 4bets to $165. Fold, Fold, hero calls.

Flop is: AKQ
Villain bets $250

Hero: ?

Very tricky spot. I can't think of any hand possible in his range that likes that flop enough that I beat. This guy could also have absolutely nothing but this is the first time all night he has 4bet. I can't think of anything else I do preflop unless I just call the raise and be in position.

Anyone?

Preflop I fold AQs to the 4 bet. If villain has been very aggressive but has not been 4 betting then I give him credit the first time. Particularly since the sizing commits you the pot if you hit anything.

As played your committed with two pair. Against this sort of villain you can't flop 2 pair and then give up. I would just go ahead and shove over his bet. No better hand is folding and worse are not betting again if you call. Might as well charge any draws he happens to have.

This will not be a particularly profitable spot, expect him to have AK or a set a fair portion of the time.

Preflight fold. As played.

He’s representing a strong range AK, KK KQ, AA, QQ, JJ, 1010, straight draw, NFD.

I think at this point hero is probably ahead most of the time. Shove all in.

Crushed by:
1 combo of AA
3 combos of KK
1 combo of QQ
6 combos of AK
? combos of JT (How often will villain 4bet JT? Only if they are suited?)

Chopping with:
4 combos of AQ

Crushing:
? combos of KQ (As wide as you say his range is, will he always 4bet KQ?)
? combos of JJ (Does villain bet JJ on a board with three overs?)
? combos of some weird squeeze bluff
? combos of one pair + gutshot (Hard for me to imagine a lot of these hands that get 4bet pre)

Now, you say his range is wide. Does that mean his VPIP is high? Lots of good players love to play lots of hands for one or two bets, but when it gets down to 3betting and 4betting they always have it and are hoping their loose image pays off. So unless you've seen him actually 4bet wide, this seems like an easy fold.

His VPIP is high, but I would say over 50% of the time he is the main aggressor PF. This is what confused me.

I ended up folding and he showed 77
