1. does anyone here know where I play? I don't remember providing any location info when I signed up, and I have never told anyone where I play. Is there some auto GPS on here that I don't know about that tells people where I'm at? Otherwise, I don't see how I gave anyone a detailed report on how I play. I highly doubt anyone else at that table uses this site...maaaaayyyyyybe the one kid does.
2. "What if your check raise was called/raised" ?? There was only one guy at the table who had me covered, and he was the one guy who I was worried about that made me abandon this hand, Because I knew he was on a flush draw and I didn't want to give him better odds to call. But he ended up folding the nut flush draw. The plan changed when 2 villains went all in, so I don't get this question in the context of this hand...however, if they didn't go all in, and it would have gotten to me with 4 callers to the $20 I would have probably made it $120 to go with a "semi" bluff or as you call it a "spew"bluff. If I got called it would have most likely put that person all in and I would still have 6-8 outs with over 2-1 odds and the action closed with 2 cards to come. If I got raised by the one person that could have put me all in, I would have probably folded because I can recover that money from the other seats without butting heads with the one guy at the table who worried me. If anyone else raised me I probably would have called for the little bit extra still most likely getting 2-1 and definitely confident that I had 8 outs instead of 6.
3. If people figure me out...I change...isn't that what we are supposed to do?
I think everyone is focusing too much on the fact that I had 25 and not on the facts of the hand. I mean this is still an open ender with the correct odds to call and the possibility that I was closing the action. There was a flush draw on the board, but I was fairly confident I already identified who had that draw (and I was right about that)...and he was the one person who was still to act that made me abandon the hand (which I think is the only reason this hand is a question, is that there were people left to act) K4o ended up winning this hand over K9o btw.
Are you really folding all your draws with the correct odds to call?
1) We don't need to know where you play. Everyone at the table saw what you did, and then you told them what cards you had. Anyone paying attention just got spoon fed some pretty important information about your game. If you think you're the only one who thought you could limp a crazy hand multi-way and then get busy when you hit a monster, or draw to a monster....you're wrong. LOTS Of people do it, it's easy to recognize (especially when the hero spills the beans), and it's easy to adjust to.
2) If you're going to play this game with any degree of seriousness....then everything you wrote in #2 needs to be seriously reflected upon. "Because I knew he had a flush draw"....WHAT?? No you didn't. You can put him on a range that includes alot of flush draws and evaluate your options. But you didn't KNOW. Also, your "plan" is full of flawed thinking. YOu have almost no fold equity in a pot with this many players. So check-raising is just you throwing money in the pot and building it up while you're WAY behind. Also, your idea that you can abandon the hand if the "good" player plays back at you...is absurd. If it is as you say.....and you "can recover that money from the other seats"...then just do THAT. Make money from bad players by playing good hands, in position.
3) Change now.
What do you consider "correct odds". Without doing detailed math, you're roughly a 2 to 1 dog (IF all your outs are clean), and you're making a bet that will most likely result in an all-in from a short stack...effectively giving you approximately 2 to 1 pot odds. Is that your assessment? If so, we're talking about a break even play, for your entire stack. Find me ONE person who makes money doing that.
