Used to do well online playing part time at .25/.50 With job and kids etc. Haven't had the time for live until recently started playing 1/2. Make good money at my real job, so the cash at this level isn't that important, but learning and winning is.

So my first hand posted here for comment is:

Full ring 1/2
Hero - middle 40's white dude been card dead for a couple of hours so probably looked like big time nit. Good table with mix of loose aggressive and loose passive players, making my last 2 hours appear very nitty. Lots of $5 straddles, limpers and 3 players that try to steal from Limper's.

Utg (200 ish) -straddle 5
Utg+1 Hero (125) AKo - I limp expecting at least a few other Limper's followed by someone raising.
V1 - call
V2 - call
V3 (300ish) 30yr Asian dude that raises a ton pre makes it $15
Folds to blinds who both call
Hero - thinks for a minute and then raises to $50
Folds to v3 who thinks for maybe 2 minutes then re-raises to what turns out to be $110 without counting it out first, so bet size is definitely imprecise.

What should hero do? Thoughts on my limp plan in this spot?

Your comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Shove.

Raise pre the first time around.
Shove the second time around after the $15 and 2 calls.

You will lose a bunch here. But putting in an extra $75 to win $205 should show a profit in the long run vs most villains.

Get your stack back up to $200ish. Don't let it dwindle down like you did.

As played, GII.

Grunch.

Easy get it in here. If the table has been raising a lot I think the plan to limp/rr is fine assuming that the rr = all in. Given how short stacked you are and the amount already in the pot, you should just jam the first (second, limp/all-in) time around.

AI, this is the problem with playing short stacked. If you had more money on the table you could make a fold here considering this guy just 3bet an apparent nit. But you can't fold now given the odds created by your stack.

OP,

I am no expert by any means so take this for what its worth.

Either buy in full and top off or short stack. Being in that 50-70 BB range sucks because you run into rough situations. Minimizing your doubt will make you play better. I personally short stack 1/2 sometimes and people will hate on you for it but it does take the thinking out of it. I can play short or full stacked but that middle stack makes for some very tough decisions in my experience.

As I said, I'm a new player as well, this is just my recent experience.
