Favorite live tell? Favorite live tell?

09-02-2015 , 01:09 AM
I've been trying to concentrate on live tells and have watched a few youtube videos related to this. I found one tell that is very reliable is that very quick calls indicate that the villian never contemplated raising and usually is an indicator of not being very strong and odds that you can two/three barrel.

Verbal tells are also strong vs. weaker players.

I like to ask questions to my opponent and see how he responds. It induces your opponent to make a mistake.

Perhaps,

if I call we check river?
Or you went me to call?
And my favorite, will you show if I call?
or I can show you if you fold.

I find this is usually a draw of some type. I always barrel the turn if the card misses the straight or flush draw.

I used to play with a guy at a Hollywood property who always sat with his wife (playing, not railing). Every time he decided to make a play at a pot he'd give her the "ooh, watch me, watch me" glance from across the table.

tl;dr -- arrogance is my favorite tell.

Check. Snap call.

Check. Snap call.

Lead river.

Almost always flush draw that gets there.

There are already quite a few tells threads in the forum. Please do a search and post in one of those.
