Villian considers Hero a bluffer, because he reads a few of my cbets and double barrels as bluffs. He has shown mild surprise / dismay that one of my min check raises (25 / 50) on a flop induced a fold.

However, Hero has showdowned only strong AJ+ type hands and a bluff catcher river call with top pair (ATo), which was a pre-flop BTN call.

Hero finds that strange as V., I surmise, knows this is a "Donk Bet."

Hero raises to 75.

Villian reraises to 200

How do you all read this situation? Thoughts / criticisms much appreciated.

This is a flat or fold situation. This deep I would float. Why did you raise? Easy fold to the 3 bet.

Flat the donk bet. He never believes you, so why should he believe your raise now? Do this when you have a hand, because he shouldn't believe you then, either.

As played, easy fold.

Don't get into a pissing contest with someone who just wants to piss on your shoes.

That's my deep thought of the day.

Don't try to out aggress an aggressor. Float the flop and see what comes ott.
