it's basically a range bet for 30-40% pot to get max value out of his condensed range
the idea is he will have a harder time defending correctly than if we were to polarize and bet big

the alternative also means we need a x range, which needs to be protected so we don't overfold and we need to use some pairs that would benefit from the protection a small bet brings.

we also somewhat cap our range which is a concern when playing deep oop with a competent opp

Fortunately for the OP, he didn't have a competent opponent.

However, this is a great example of the impact of image. The Villain figured he probably wasn't ahead, but he called because of "pot odds" and he'd suck out on the Hero if he was behind. If the villain had lost the previous hand, he would have folded by the turn.

if anyone wants to respond to my range analysis that would be helpful - because if my analysis is correct than jamming is at least +EV. Which parts of my analysis are wrong?, i.e. what value hands does he have more combos than I am giving credit for?
