Hi

I played an interesting hand yesterday and wanted some thoughts on how I played it.
Its a live 1/2 game and I have 180 infront, villain has 250
Villain is a recreational player who is fairly active and has lost some big hands recently
I am in middle position with 89 offsuit
Its folded round to me and I raise to 10, villain calls in the button and everyone else folds.

FLOP
KKT with 2 spades ( I have no spade)
I check, villain checks

TURN
7 of spades
I check, villain bets 15, I call

RIVER
6 (non spade)
I check, villain bets 25. I then reraise to 80. Villain tanks and then reraises me all in for 75 more.

I reraise for value here because I feel that he will call me with any king. I think if he had a flush draw he would have bet the flop.
before i am reraised the range of hands I am putting him on is KQ/KJ/KT/K9/QT/T9/TT/99/88/77/66 or complete air or a variety of hands with one spade

When I am reraised there is a very slim chance he is bluffing and i only have 75 more behind.
This only leaves TT/KT/77/66 and possibly KQ/KJ/K9

Should I be folding here? I ended up calling. It will be interesting to know your thoughts on how I played the hand

Don't hate the raise you can definitely get worse to call but after he ships it's a fold, 1-2 nl a reraise is almost always the better hand no ones is really trying to bluff you especially when you reraise and he ships for 75 more

fold pre

as played I am not raising the river at all. fold to the river jam (what do you think he has?) probably fold the turn also.

Reraise for value is fine but you have to fold after his second bet on the river. Most likely not a bluff. I don't mind the raise pre(but would depend on read on the table)

It's the boat 99% of the time here.

Our raise gives Villain another shot at us.

We often forget that giving the villain another shot at us when we don't have the nuts ourself can be a mistake, this is one of those times. His re-raise tells us so.

Fold pre

Bet 15 on the flop

As Played FOLD river (you are beat 95% of the time), I think the raise with the straight is a little to thin on your part unless you've seen him make big calls with marginal hands in the past
