1/2 9 handed

No good read on villain. Limps a lot. Shown down the goods once. Mid 50s wg.

Villain limps utg ($400)
Hero raises to 15 with 99 (covers)
Call ($500)
Some folds
Call ($600)
Folds to villain who calls

Flop $61
567

Check, villain bets 15, hero raises to 40, folds to villain who calls

567k $141

Villain leads $50, hero?

Fold? Or call and decide if im calling a river bet based on his sizing if its a brick?

Looks sorta like a blocking bet. Could have 87, 86, A7, A8, K7. Those might be most likely. I guess based on that I would call.

Also, while the sizing is small compared to the pot, ive gotten the impression that weak villains generally lose track of the size of the pot, so to them, 60% pot bet looks pretty huge while a 30% pot bet seems reasonable. But i might be totally off on this.

Thoughts?

You need to change how you post actions. What is up with the call $500 stuff, so difficult to read.

I'm going to presume we're 4 handed.

Raising this board is pretty optimistic. But his sizing is ludicrous as is. So I'm ok with it. I'm not OK with your sizing. It's way too small.

Call turn sizing is so wacky I pay him off if he's value owning me.

Marginal spot readless, his action is consistent with a strong hand (donk bet 567r into 3, called a raise from PFR, and then bet again on a bad card), so it's somewhere between a peel-decide and a fold. He has hands <99 and most >99 that we can overcoat/beat on a number of rivers, but if he bets any non 8 river it's going to be tough to call. Close spot.

Easy call, I think. Our odds are too good when we have ways to improve and a hand which can be best a good amount of the time. TT would be closer to a fold, but I'd still call for this sizing. River will be closer, but I probably still call non-terrible rivers unless he sizes it large. Often he is just clicking buttons with a middling strength hand he doesn't know what to do with. Sometimes he has a weirdly played value hand and he just doesn't know how to size bets properly.

And your post formatting is fine, IMO. IDK what Dochrohan is confused by, although it would be nice to know your position and the positions of the two cold callers.

He should have very few Kx in his range, so even though it's an overcard, it is still pretty much a blank.

His flop lead was lol weak, and so is his turn lead. I'd be shocked if he has a better hand than us.
