Wow only twice? I've had kings run into aces 4 times in the last 2-3 weeks. In fact I just had it happen yesterday. I know I've been running badly which may be affecting my responses (my kings lost every time).

What's your image at the table though? If you're seen as a lag that people have trouble believing then I think it does make more sense to be aggressive with KK.

I've run KK into AA more than twice, but I'm talking about a 3b and cold 4b. Most people see me as LAG.

When I have Kings and I get shipped on there is a few things I'm thinking about.

History and table image. Type of player and how he is thinking about that information. How tight is his range, I will call if there is money worth fighting for in the pot. But obviously I need the best hand to make the call. His range must contain some bluffs. And AK, kk, qq, jj, aq, suited connectors/ bluffs. And there is always a small chance he has AA.

My anecdote...

Pretty serious home game. Guy new to the game sits down and soon finds himself in this spot. He tanks... tanks... tanks... The rest of us start thinking to ourselves "OMG he's going to fold KK here!" Sure enough he folds. The rest of us are hoping we have pretty much any Ax to snap call because the 4-bet shover is a lunatic. Someone called with Ax, villain shows KTo. New guy (folded KK) was speechless.

OP's hand is obviously a different case since villain has been silent for so long and we can reasonably narrow his range more, but the point is that everyone saying "snap fold" are just as off the mark as the "snap call" camp.

It's so weird to me that when 90% of the discussions on here are so nuanced and considered when it comes to making more moderate decisions, that many of those same people will go into robot mode to say "always" this and "never" that when it comes to "automatic" spots like this. To me, EVERY decision is going to lie on a spectrum, and barring seeing someone's actual cards nothing is ever going to be 100%.

I'm going to lock this. If you feel you need more information, I suggest reading Cry Me a River's seminal thread on "should I fold KK pf" in the micro FR forum stickies.
