Hero: $700, 8
9
. Playing standard TAG type game. In MP.
V: $700. Sitting in seat to right of me. Played with him before. He bets to often and calls to often. Can get wild, but does have some brain cells.
V raises to $15, I call.
Flop ($33): A
A
4
. V checks, I bet $15 just trying to win with 9 high. V calls.
Turn ($63): 4
. Err, what a ****ty card for me. V now leads $25 after looking over at me like 8 times like I was Adolf Hitler in disguise. Feel like we have a few routes here. Given how bad of card that is for our hand and V's propensity to be sticky at times, folding seems like a rational and maybe optimal decision?
But I guess the reason for the post, I know this V is thinking I wouldn't bet an A on flop (although I would), and now he could be stabbing with either middling hand like low-mid pp (just one of those low live stakes spaz play bc doesn't know what to do) or something like K high. He also plays a lot of suited junk so could have a lot of different combos here. So could we quasi float here (I say quasi since flush draw could be good if hit), and fire pot on river if checked to or depending on his bet size, put in sizable raise on river? Or against this player type, do we just live to fight another day?
Thanks guys/gals for input.
