Has anyone read any of his small stakes live nl books?

If so, what is your take on them?

I picked up a few and they seem very math oriented.

Look/Ask in the "Books and Publications" forums.

His books are generally very well regarded. I'd highly recommend them to anyone that I wanted to help improve their game. Read them in order:

Professional NLHE V1
Small Stakes NLHE
How to Read Hands at NLHE
Playing the Player

They're very comprehensive and teach you everything you need to know to beat LLSNL games.

I don't think they're very math oriented at all though. There is some math, but it's nowhere near the level of something like "Math of Hold'em", "Poker Math that Matters", or "The Mathematics of Poker".
