That way, the typical discussion on this forum will look something like this:

Live $100/$200 NL with $25 ante:
Hero: $50,000. Villain has me covered.
Hero: AhAd on the button.
Preflop: Villain raises to $1,000, Hero three-bets to $7,500. Villain calls.
Flop: As Ac 7d
Villain: Open-shoves all-in.
Hero tanks for like three minutes.... finally makes the reluctant call.
Did I play this o.k.? Should I have simply flatted-preflop?
Tough spot. Really not sure.
Thoughts?

Look folks, the whole point of this forum is to discuss situations. The hand I described easily meets that definition.
Do I NORMALLY play 35suited? No. It seemed like it could pay off in this spot if I were to hit.
And no -- I am not trying to confuse anyone by saying that Villain in this hand is a "thinking player." However, because he had noticed that I hadn't been three-barrelling with air, I was hoping to push him off a marginal hand for a small-to-medium-sized pot or, if I actually did hit a straight or a flush, win a bigger pot with a holding he never would have expected from me.
I was actually going to check-fold the river if the last card had been a blank, but then I hit a hand that I was not expecting to hit.... and then he surprised me with the shove.
I was really looking for the answer to the 1st part
does he barrel off or call when he gets stacked light?
me personally I would have 3-bet pre
and c/c the flop then led turn and river
but I don't play a conventional game
what you are missing is that you have position on him most of the time
no need to step out of line
