I'd much much prefer to overlimp hand 1 to take advantage of a bad table. I guess there are maybe possibly potentially table conditions where 6x'ing it makes sense, but it's one of those extraordinary claims sorta situations.

As played, we're beat sometimes, obviously, but I can't find a fold given the way we played the hand. We could (slash-should) probably find a b/f, but checking to induce only to fold to the least believable sizing seems absurd.

Hand 2, I have trouble suspending my disbelief that there's a good reason to open Q9o 3 off from the button with a super loose whale having the button.

I'd rather check/give-up/try to survive to showdown on this flop. As played, I expect to see a weak ace or some slow-played bull****, we're not getting a great price, and we're far from guaranteed to be ahead of his bluffs.

Hand 3, I think I prefer to raise this flop and call only when we have the As, but calling is obviously totally fine too. As played, sure call I guess whatever. Think the river decision is kinda close/trivial.

If you're at a table full of nits and 2 whales that never fold pre and who are absolutely clueless postflop it can make sense to open Q9o in mp.
Described players aren't so great to make loose opens in front of when you're OOP (don't fold pre, attack weakness postflop, etc). You're gonna get yourself accidentally exploited.

IP where you can keep pot size under control, raise bets without risking it checking through, etc is a whole other story.

Obviously, against ****ty players you can still open a bit wider, but you hold Q9o and have an entire 6-max table left to act behind you. Bad players are allowed to get dealt hands too, and there's a quite decent chance that somebody left to act has some kinda broadways or decent pair, and when we're OOP and have initiative (and based on flop play, are apparently cbetting 100%), we're in a bad position to find out when they do without investing some money.

For the triple post ...

To condense my point a bit: think about how important it is to be able to have a street check through when we hold Q9o. For this reason, the field of players who have position on us should either be very tight preflop so that we're often stealing the button, or they should be very passive.
