There is nothing wrong with playing nitty if you're not very good and it can be slightly profitable. Speaking from experience though, I first started out really nitty and I think it was kind of miserable, and I'm a person who is laid back with a ton of patience.

You start to question why you play this game when you wait all week for that one big profitable situation, you get it all-in and the fish sucks out on you on the river, and you realize that all that folding hand after hand, hour after hour and day after day hasn't won you a single dollar. Not only that, but you'll have to wait an eternity for a spot like that again because it's hard to make a big hand (especially when you never play a hand), and even harder to do that when someone else also makes a hand that will pay you off. And of course while you sit there steaming the fish who celebrated in your face does a clear hit and run.

Nitty play is a good starting point but the game is much less miserable IMO once you move beyond that and increase your winrate.

If your folding 10 10 preflight to a raise and a call with 70$ your playing to nitty unless the other guy is a bigger nit than you

Enjoy being a nit. Nobody is going to fold to your raises.
