Snap, missed all this will have to check this out.

Does anyone else's local casino refer to QJ as the Bart Hanson? It's gaining some popularity in Hammond.

Apologize if this is already some place obvious, but at what time is the Tuesday showing?

Not sure how it started nor have I heard this up until now... But I'm assuming it has to do with Bart's love of JQ because it's such a playable postflop hand/good for value/good for cbetting/ good for multiple barrels (on different types of board textures). Maybe someone can confirm?

Bart said its a great hand to 3bet pre because it flips well and when a face card hits on the turn or and A hits in the turn you can continue to barrel and those turns cards will likely help your hand.

I prolly didn't quote him very well but it was something like that.

Nice. GG last night, I just watched the replay. Other than the AQ hand, you played really solid.

Just watched your session DK and i am impressed by mainly two things:

1) Your patience (hand selection) and ability to fold garbage hand after hand.

2) The A9 hand with 3 streets of value.

Can you talk us a little bit through the A9 hand and how you was thinking during that hand? It seemed like you was pretty confident top top was good there, because your was firing at a steady pace- no hesitation at all at any street. Did you put him on a weaker 9 or at a 7 as he had and was it a special thing about his play that made you put him on a wide range here?

That V never has two pair/set/straight after he calls flop and turn. He also 3-bets Tens+ pf. It was thinnish value, but a clear bet/bet/bet situation.

Why cant he have two pair for example when just calling the flop or turn? I dont say it is most likely, but its certainly possible. Until that hand this villain had not been calling down light all down to the river, at least not that i could notice.

Just curious about the thought process/ranging throughout the hand.

He can have two pair, but he was very aggro with strong hands post all session and had a reputation as a sheriff.

I would have been very surprised to see him show up with 2 pair in that spot.

Yeah, once I got my tilt out with AQ i was mostly okay the rest of the session

For the A9 hand I thought he had enough 9x combos to keep betting, that was pretty much it. There really aren't that many combos of better hands and even if the only worse hands he calls with are 98+ that's 40 combos (that's a lot). It's a really clear value bet. People generally have trouble folding top pair which is why I went for a big bet Ott and otr - if an over card came off I would probably still bet but just not as much. I was actually a bit surprised to hear he had k7 (even though it is no worse than calling with T9 for instance)

Yeah, i really like the relative big bet on the turn here to punish draws and keep in weaker 9-the bet get that "bluffy" impression- on the turn its like you missed with AJ or AQ, and is firing a big bet on the turn to get him to fold. And on the river i dont think you getting called if you go to big, because of the strength it sends out.

So that hand impressed me, i learned pretty much from that hand- because i sometimes feel i lose value due to MUBS.Also has to say i love your betting teqhniqe with both hands- looks badass

I open AQ to 20 in ep, 4 callers

Flop A9x all diamonds, I bet 70, martik calls

Turn low brick, I bet 140? Martik calls.

River K, I check, martik bets 250 and I tilt and call and he shows kjdd.

I was really annoyed with myself because I know to fold that river all the time. It was totally a tilt thing. But Bart made a good point about still being able to bet that river for value and pointed out a physical tell I might have picked up. My plan was to c/f but I agree that b/f is better.

It has nothing to do with punishing draws or appearing bluffy. On a drawy board I actually want value from draws. But I decided it was better to size it bigger because 1p would call bigger. If the turn was a q for instance I would go a bit smaller to get called by middle pair and draws.
