That's what I do in my home games. Works well.
Absolutely Lapidator, that has been my overall strategy in most games ive played in so far also.

But i look at this "exercise" in a bigger picture. I believe my game will benefit from a process like this, trying to figure out different types of villains and what kind of adjustments/strategy that will exploit them. So even if i dont manage to win much money of this nit (wich i expect), i think this discussion still has som constructive positive outcomes.

Ya, If he's a real squeezer, just withhold action, let him have your BB, and focus on beating him to the loose $ on the table.

I wouldn't necessarily contrive situations to 'outplay' him so much as take advantage of spots when they come along; ie. you are 300BB deep, his hand is face up; something like JJ, and the board is ugly for him.

the thing is, if he's really tight, he has a strong hand most of the time he gets involved, so you don't want to make a habit out of trying to take him off of it on principle.

It's good to be capable of collecting $ when you know the play will work an overwhelming amount of the time, which prolly won't be that often.

Nits are typically scared money. They play to preserve their stack moreso than building it.

True nits know that a single pair (even if it's KK or AA) isn't always the best hand.

Since they're basically playing their hands face-up, you can test their resolve to win a hand by putting a lot at risk. The best time to do this is on the turn when a "scare" card comes out. Check/raise them or re-raise their value bet, and they will often fold.

Since he won't stack off with you... bleed him one pot at a time.
