Hi ya.So I recently start playing in this 1/2 live game to a local club. The thing is they dont take rake from pot instead they only take 15% from the buy in.So if I buy in for 200 they will take 30 and I would only play on the table with 170.How do you find this long term ? Cheers

Sounds good to me. Wish Vegas casinos did that. Obviously the longer the session the better it is for players.

Also I would say that the rake structure is only good for small games. A $500+ buy in would make this a bad deal compared to standard rake

yeah, good for full-stack 1/2, pretty horrid for anything higher
Just do the math. Suppose a normal game is 10% to $5. Generally you play 25-30 hands/hr live. At a 9 handed table you could reasonably expect to win 3 hands/hr. If each hand is max rake you would be paying $15/hr rake.

It's definitely better for your win-rate. I think the real problem with this rake structure is that it is too straight-forward and will negatively affect the fish.
