Did I overplay?

1/2 NL, 650 effective, 7 handed, button straddle $5, Hero utg with AKss open to 20, about 700 effective utg+1 makes it 80, i 4 bet to 200, utg+1 flats, flop 652 ssx, hero check, utg+1 200, hero tank shoves, utg+1 snap calls with 22 and board bricks off with no more spades, should hero be flatting 80 pre? Should hero fold flop assuming hero’s behind? Utg+1 hasn’t done anything crazy yet until hitting that set of 22

Re: Did I overplay?

Don't post results. It skews answers. With the straddle, you're only playing a little over 100 BBs deep. Your 3-bet was fine, his call thereof was atrocious. He got incredibly lucky to flop the set and hold on.

I would have bet the flop instead of CRAI. That's the only spot you should arguably play different but in this case it doesn't change the results. If you lead for $200 or $300, you can't fold for the rest of it when he shoves.

Unlucky. Reload and move on.

Re: Did I overplay?

I don't get the check-Jamb on the Flop.
Did you think:
Villian CBetting w/ Air.
Would Fold 66-JJ.

I also don't agree with 4Bet Pre-Flop out of position. Villain 3Bet - Did you think he would Fold?

I can see circumstances where you would want to Play Hyper Aggressively - such as a very active/spewy table that is betting and calling/reraising Light.

If there were Not other circumstances not described in Game/Hand summary then I think you overplayed both Pre and Post.

Re: Did I overplay?

The 4-bet tends to be a bit aggressive for these games, but if he's 3-betting an EP open with 22 then I guess it's fine. You'll pretty much have to call off a jam.

I wouldn't check raise this flop. I'd just open jam it to maximize fold equity, but would still be loving life even if called.
