Hero has about 1300 in stack and V has about 700 and is late 20s male. Read is villain has a good understanding of poker because he had been talking about the whole Supernova Elite scam by Pokerstars this year for about 15 minutes with some other players at the table and has played pretty tight aggressive thus far.

Game is super loose and approaching the end of the night, 5 handed. One guy is massively stuck and has been opening every pot for 25. Guy opens pot for 25 UTG. V calls in c/o and hero calls on button with A4 spades.

Flop 5s6sJd - nut flush d backdoor str8 d

Opener checks, V checks. Hero bets 40 into 75. Opener folds, V check raises to 115. Hero calls.

Turn 4d pairing hero 4

V leads 200 into 305.

Hero?

Yes, looks like a fold unless you have observed V doing a lot of this. There are quite a few hands you are in big trouble with 6s, 5s, 65, 78 got there OTT, he can't have 43s, doubt he would do this with a naked non-nutty fd.

Considering the description you gave of the game, I don't like the flop bet. We can just check back and see the turn.

As played, fold the turn. I don't think V is ever folding here, so raising will seem to have no FE. Also, if we factor in V's stack behind, I think I came up with calling $200 to win $760ish. Even then, only 3.8ish:1 pot odds. I really don't think this should ever be a call.

Fold turn but I would have also take the free card on flop.

This is 100% a check on the flop given description of the game.

On the turn I'm folding as played as you bloated the pot for no reason with NFD & BDSD?

I hate this flop bet so much. Given the dynamics you are likely to win a big pot if you hit. Just take the free card.

Turn is a fold

This.

People are tired, stuck and tilting. You'll get paid on your draws.

fold. you are only 30% to improve your hand and only 20% to make the flush.

with as strong as he has played the hand, there is no FE on the turn or on the river, and the only way you can raise the river is if you make the flush.

if an ace hits the river, you might not even get paid anything.

I ended up tank calling the 200 on the turn knowing that the price wasnt right. The river was a complete brick and V went towards his chips like he was gonna fire the 3rd barrel. When he did this I instantly grabbed my stack of 25s and pulled them forward as if i was preparing to count out a call. He paused for almost a minute and then checked. I checked behind and he flipped 910 of spades for 10 high. I wonder if my move of grabbing my big chips contributed to his decision to give up on the riv. I hope it did

You dont look like you have much on the flop, def 3bet here and commit yourself. The board is drawy and people most often c/r draws, occasionally sets if there are multiple players left to act guaranteeing someone will bet out, but since it's just you this is not the case. I'd make it $300 and if he shoves call. I doubt he shoves since you will now look super strong, meaning if he just flats then jam any turn.
