Hand #1
2/5 - $10 straddle

Hero - UTG $1250: looks young mid 20's been at the table for a couple hours playing tag and had a heated argument with V4 who keeps mentioning how tight I'm playing and he is going to bust me.

V1 - c/o $1000: older cowboy who seems to have a little gamble playing sort of a lose passive/tag style

V2 - btn $2000: mid 30's not sure what to think of him seems about the same style of player as V1

V3 - $700 sb - middle aged lag asian

V4 - straddle $2000: mid 30's guy who is drinking and talking lots of trash - plays kind of a lag style but not as lag as he says and seems like he is somewhat of a thinking player. He just went on about a 30 min break and this is his first hand back.

Hero opens utg $35 w/ black KK
C/o calls $35
Btn calls $35
Sb calls $35
Straddle raises $250 total
Hero flats - Thoughts?

Flop $605 - 336 scs
V4 bets $300
Hero?

Hand #2 - 2/5/10
Hero $1750 utg

V1 - $560 utg +1: middle aged guy who seems to play pretty tag overall I have seen him make a couple moves here and there

V2 - $2000 straddle - Villan 4 from previous hand

Hero raises to $35 w/ AKcc
V1 calls $35
V2 calls $35

Flop $105 JJ3scc

Hand 1: Flatting the 3bet is good. Ppl generally don't stack off worse very often 200bbs+ deep so by flatting we get to keep in his worse value hands as well as his air that he was squeezing with.

On the flop I think flatting again is good to let him keep barreling and to let him get pot stuck with JJ-QQ type hands.

Hand 2: I would raise slightly more pre but don't think it's that big of a deal.

On the flop I think check/call is by far the best play since pocket pairs aren't folding this flop and to avoid getting raised off our equity. Once we get raised the most +EV decision is to fold especially since we block most of the FDs V can have but this could have been avoided by check/calling flop.

Hand 1 - if you want to price out his flush draw then raise his bet but if you are not concerned by that and put him on pocket pairs then flat and let him keep barreling and build up the pot so that he gets committed for when you shove over the top

Hand 2 - I would be concerned about pot control being in middle position here. I wish you had checks the flop but if you call here you are probably check in the turn heads up out of position and then need to decide what to do if he eyes again on the turn. I would need a better read of V here to know what he is raising the flop with in this situation.

Hand 1: PF is good vs. a LAG. Keep calling to keep his range wide and to give him the chance to bluff off his stack. Shoving just folds out all of his air and he may even find a fold with hands like JJ/TT since he perceives you as tight.

Hand 2: I think arguing for a check is results-oriented. Betting is going to be better vs. everything except Jx hands. As played I wouldn't expect V1 to be getting out of line, so folding is best.

Hand 1: flatting then check calling down, possibly shoving over his turn bet as we will have < PSB

Hand 2: just folding only getting 1.6:1 on a call and you block any flush draws. Your A and K are likely not good as he likely has mostly Jx here

Hand 1: call of 3bet is fine. Shove flop -- there is already $900 in there. I guess you can call and call/shove any turn. I probably just gii, though.

Hand 2: I shove here. The guy has only 100bb. He probably has a J, but I'm willing to gamble. If I weren't, I wouldn't have bet the flop (Basically, check flop and bink turn.) You can fold here -- you are way behind.

Seems to me that everyone is missing the dynamic between Villain and Hero.

Hand 1: V4 is OOP to Hero. I want him to be pot committed here or spaz out since he's looking to stack you. I'm re-raising pre to isolate to about $550 (given dynamic a flat actually looks stronger IMO)....hoping he 5 bet shoves. Getting it in on all flops.

Hand 2: I like just check-calling here...given V's description he most likely has a J. We know he doesn't have the A or K high flush draw...overpair would have 3 bet and middle pair is possible but most likely would just call along. (99% of people don't have the balls to do with absolute air on a flop also)
