hand one:

a hand versus a black guy in his mid 40's who has been playing some hands. has been straddling every time it's his turn, as have i. he has been betting his strong hands OTF from what i have seen with 1/2 - 3/4 pot bets, and has rarely 3-bet. only relevant pot we have played so far was when he straddled and i opened from the CO with A8 to $20 and he was the only caller. i have ~$300 and he has me covered. flop comes 1097 ($43), he checks, i bet $25, he calls. turn is J ($93), he checks, i bet $70, he thinks and calls. river is the 7 ($233), he puts me all-in for like ~$175, i turn over my 8 and ask him if it's good, he says "might be," and i think for a minute or two and call, and take it down.

now in this hand he is in the BB, and a tight player opens in EP for $5, i call from the HJ with 2-2, and he makes it $25 from the big, original raiser folds, and i call. at this point he has maybe $500 and i have $800. flop weirdly comes same as before, 1097 ($56), and it goes check/check. turn is 4 ($56), he bets $50, and i call, thinking i might be good, looking to reevaluate OTR. river comes 9 ($156), and he bets another $50. now at this point i felt like he had an overpair, and i didn't think he had 10's full. i was strongly considering raising here. thoughts/sizing?

hand two:

another hand was against an asian in his late 40's who i've played with before, has only played a few rounds, but who is competent and mixes up his game well, and opens a wide range. he likes to limp big pairs in EP and c/r pre and occasionally slowplays post. the other guy, a white guy in his 20's has been playing weak-tight and making it $5 for most of his opens. i have 3-bet him twice and he folded both times.

asian guy, who has ~$250, opens UTG to $13, and young white guy, who has $200, calls. i have them both well covered. i have 96 in the CO and raise it to $45. they both call. flop comes the 1032 ($138) and the asian guy checks as the flop is being dealt but before all the cards are out. young guy checks. now, had i been heads up vs the asian guy, i would have fired a 3/4 pot c-bet, but the young guy flatting the 3-bet concerned me, so i checked. turn comes J ($138), and again they check to me. now i know i should have taken a shot here OTT but i didn't, for some reason i thought it would look too much like A-K. so i check, river is 7 ($138) and again they check to me. flop/turn/river thoughts?

Ok first thing is because of these walls of texts you arent going to get many responses look at other posts or the guidelines to see how to post hands i steeled myself to read them.

Another thing where I play a 25$ raise preflop means AA or KK clearly it is different where you play. Anyway based on how the hand went he probably does have an over pair. You have position on this guy who you showed the effective nuts to earlier you need to use this way before the river. Either on the flop you bet 50$ or do your checking and then raise the **** out of his 50$ bet on the turn. Waiting till the river is a mistake and you should honestly just fold. You can beat nothing but air and his hand screams showdown value. He made the same bet twice which is indicative of a medium strength hand which he is scared of you beating but does not want to lay it down. And now that he is at the river I see no size of bet that will get him off whatever he has.

Second spot jesus 45$ what are we playing 2/5 25% of your stack pre flop with that makes me sick. once you get to the flop and you have basically pissed liquid strength onto the table you have to C-Bet big and hope to god they did not hit. I mean on the river yea you have to take a shot like 100$ but it would have been much better on the flop

hand one raising that river is a spew imo. you put yourself in a bad spot. if you want to raise and turn this hand into a bluff, i like it better on the turn, followed up by a big bet on most rivers, but this is very villain dependent.
given your description of him, id rather just fold the turn and move on, i also wouldnt mind folding preflop after after he makes it $25;

hand two; why are you 3 betting here? best case they both fold and you take down $29, great; why not just call in position and play from there or even just fold pre;

i hate 3 betting with that garbage and bloating the pot vs shortstacks in this spot. as played, i think you have to Cbet that board, but i'd probably keep it pretty small so you can fold if he C/Ships but big enough so he thinks youre never folding;
it sucks because the guy only has $155 left and after your bet, hes probably going to sigh get it in with every hand he calls $45 pre with on this flop.

as played, river you have to check back; if you want to bet, its going to have to be big, and i dont see either of them ever folding a pair, but this depends on your reads.
