Confused by V's x/c, x/c, b line on monotone flop Confused by V's x/c, x/c, b line on monotone flop

$1/2
Table is playing tighter and smaller than normal. Standard open seems to be $7-10, but i've only been here for 1/2 an hour.

V ($350) - early 30's WG. I don't know him and have only seen him play 1 hand. He was in MP, button straddled for $4, EP lol min-raised to $8. V flatted the $8 w/ K's, then end getting AIPF because another V raised again. Not putting off a total fish vibe, but flatting the $8 min raise w/ K's seemed terrible to me.

H ($350) - early 40's WG. V might be paying attention and probably thinks I'm playing loose, alternating between passive and aggressive.

OTTH
H gets j9s in MP, I limp, OMC limps in LP, V calls from SB, 4 to the flop.

Flop ($7)
Ks7s2s

V, BB check, H bets $7, OMC calls, V calls, BB folds. I could have sized up a bit here on the flop

Turn ($26)
8d
V checks, H bets $21, OMC folds, V calls.

River ($88)
10d
V leads for $26, H? Clearly H is never folding, but H would have bet ~$65 if checked to so V has set his own price on the river thus far. V was in the SB so his range here should include any flush, straights and 2p type hands, as well as bluffs if he put me on a flush draw (usually what V's put me on when firing twice at monotone boards). Can I really just flat this or is it a mandatory raise on the river? Thanks.

Just act like he checked and bet whatever you would have bet. If he raises, we don't love life, bbut we're losing soo much value by just calling his little price-setting bet when he has tons of small flushes in his range.

FYI: J9s means J9 suited. J9 or Js9s or J9ss means J9 of spades.

As for the hand, I'd probably raise and fold to a reraise here. You could flat call smaller flushes and sets and raise/call Q high and A high flushes.

It sucks if opponent bet/jams river with AX so if you really think he's capable of that, then I guess you can bet/call river.

Preflop is really bad. Don't open-limp. Make it $7 or $10.

Over bet that flop. Anyone calling $7 will call $15.
River: third nuts against a blocker, make it $100

Are you asking whether to raise the nut straight or the Jack high flush?

If you have the straight you should obviously just call the river -- you could even minraise/fold, if you think that V likes to make blocking bets with TP type hands. If you have the Jack high flush raise to 90 or whatever and fold to a reraise.

P.S. If you just have the straight, then your flop/turn play is evidence of a MUCH bigger leak in your game -- this is an awful board to barrel with air.

Where the hell were you last night? Agree on both points. I’ve had 4 months of run bad / play bad and it has me way off my A game.
