A bit harshly stated, but the underlying point is fair. I too play lots of hands preflop IP that a bunch of guys on here would auto fold...cool, different strokes. HOWEVER, certain conditions must be met in order to do this with any chance of profitability (and to be fair, you have either not shown/explained that they exist or you don't take thim into account). IMHO, they are:
1. DEEP stacks. To call $20 more in this spot, I would want V to have at least $450 behind, but most likely more.
2. A V who has shown the propensity to stack off with an overpair on random/drawy boards so if I do hit my hand, I can get paid off handsomely (not just for this hand but for all the times I had to just fold the flop and lost $25).
3. Hero MUST be in position, preferably last to act.
4. Hero must believe that he has a skill advantage versus the players in this hand (particularly V who raised) so that we can potentially bluff V out on boards where top pair looks vulnerable and V has shown weakness.
Without at least three of these conditions, your hand is an easy fold, maybe even for the initial $5, but certainly for the raise.
The problem is you haven't given us enough/any information to determine whether this could be a profitable spot at all which makes it very difficult to provide you with any kind of educated analysis.
