MGM national harbor LOL not MGM grand. My bankroll is pretty solid. Just been on a 5k downswing over a month running like aids and making mistakes.

I am getting sucked out on a ton, but I feel like i'm paying people off too much.

I should probably only be stuck like 2k or break even if I didn't pay off so many river bets to fish who value 300 on river and i'm like always beat. I still run bad because i'm getting sucked out on when most of the $$$ goes in on the flop or pre.

This happens to everyone. You set up the hand for big value, gonna blow him off the hand ott if its not a 6 outer, then you call river out of frustration but passive guys aint betting river with TT

But yeah you usually have 4 people flopping coz its so deep so running good helps. Make more flushes and get away from secomd pair lol

Are you me a month ago? Push through... Go for some hit n runs just to get some + sessions in if needed.

i've dealt with this before but at smaller stakes. I have gone on 3k downswings at 1/2 but my biggest problem is I quit too early when i'm running good. I might win $700 - $1000 and call it a session.

I keep playing too long when i'm stuck. I usually lose about $1500 - $2000 when i'm running bad. Poker Bankroll is north of 50k so not in terrible shape, and would defiantly play bigger if I didn't feel I had so many leaks.

I just see people at my table go on these insane heaters and have gotten upwards to 10k+ at a 2/5 game! I am going to atlantic city this week to play at the borgata so hopefully I get some run good there. Should be an interesting game since that game is only a $500 buy in and i'm bringing 5k to play for the week.

The good thing about these small flop bets (but honestly standard sizing) is that you get called by hands like AKo when your range is QQ+. Lol

The bad thing is people, even at high stakes i found out last night, freak the f**k out when you bet 1/3 pot. So youve kind of got to be prepared to felt bc you are inducing. If you are bluffing, chose a more normal half pot sizing.

When he bets river you really beat nothing.

Best if luck. I completely relate to your situation in terms of session length and people pulling heaters. I sometimes drive 80 miles to a 2/3 game that gets kinda deep to bost my post turn play. Maybe you can play deeper lower stakes if you find such a game.

I had a dude flat my 4bet with JTo and c/r got it in 250BB deep when he flopped a gutshot. At no point in this hand did v even raise so I def think it could be something weird. Imagine you thought AJ was a good hand to cold call two reraises. You are for sure going to at least call one bet when you flop TPTK. Maybe you think the other guy has AK or maybe you're only thinking about your own hand. I'd probably bet $300 otf, which is pretty much the same, and c/c river as long as my overpair remains untouched.

With the K on the turn he kind of has to have you. Anything else but AK/JJ/air/weird KJ that calls flop should play nice for the rest of the hand, but I'd probably be ready to burst if I were you in this hand.

I lost 5k in the first 6 hors one day at MGM and made it all back in over the next 10 hrs. There was over 40k at the table at 2/5

Calling 3 times pre is not that unusual for this game. I had a spot where i had the BB with JJ and 3bet/4bet shoved where JJ should have been the nuts and UTG had QQ, called 3 times pre...limp/call, call call

This is a pretty big game where bankroll matters a lot. I am probably not going to play it until i save up a 50k roll. Its insane variance because you buy in for 200bbs and you see a lot of 4way flops, and ppl shove 300 bigs pre with ak

The 1/3 pot bet is fine tho imo
