Here's a short one. Line check please.

Villain 1: $230, SB 45-50 y.o. Female. She's alone on the cruise. Has her own cabin. She left hubby at home to watch the kids while she takes a week vacation. Sound fishy to you too, huh? She's competent and aggressive. She's also on tilt as she's not having a good day with the cards. She has moved to my immediate left on at least two occasions in the last day or so.

Other villains are not important. Rest of table is either nut peddling, or super LAG and partying up. Some are smiling. Some are angry with God.

Hero: covers, Button Late 30's. LAG. Winning image. Most of the table is complaining about my aggression. Has made a number of hero-folds face up and have been shown monsters. Have also made some hero-calls with mixed results. Very talkative at the table. Almost always smiling regardless of winning or losing.

Action Preflop: couple limpers to Hero on button with KJ who raises to $11. SB calls, 2 other callers.

Flop, $44: K J 7 Checks to Hero who bets $45. SB calls. Everyone else folds.

Turn, $134: K J 7 Q SB leads for $25. Hero shoves for SB's $149 remaining. SB snap calls.

Thoughts?

Over two limpers I raise bigger here. I go at least $15.

Overbet OTF on a dry board with 3 checkers to us seems like we're not getting paid. We're folding out everything that doesn't crush us. QT is really the only draw available, given PF action, and there is no TPTK likely out there either. I bet $25-30 OTF.

AP, I don't hate the shove OTT. This weak bet is likely an attempt to induce, but if you call she is likely shoving it in OTR anyway, and I don't see how we fold for less than a PSB on any but the worst rivers.

why are you potting the flop? is your image that aggressive?

what are you expecting to get called with when she donks and you overshove? imo i would call and see the river, bsr (bet to stack ratio; is this a thing? if not, it is now) is too big

Some of the Hero-folds were face up because the specific Villains were basically not bluffing, like never bluffing. So I thought it advantageous to show them that they were not getting paid.

I potted the flop because KX, JX (especially JQ), AT, JT, 9T were all calling PSB on the flop. I was betting the maximum which people would call.

When she donked, I expected her range to be [JJ-QQ, AT+, T9, QJ, QT, 77, T7s] (maybe not exhaustive list here). I expected her to tank-call with the top 66% of that range. She was pretty fond of the "x/c flop, donk turn line". It worked fairly well for her against some of the table. I was likely to raise her donk on the turn with probably 50% of my hands.

Yes, my image was what I was relying on.

I only raised to $11 preflop since I was like 35/30. I didn't want to have much in the way of a bet-size tell. In fact, after a while, I started to raise to $9 for an orbit to put the nit peddlers on tilt. Then I went to $18 for a couple orbits.

AK is absolutely out there. During the whole cruise, I think I'm the only one who I saw 3B with AK.

During an earlier session, I had AKo and raised to $11 after a few limpers from the button. A different woman 3B me to $50 from the BB, and every one else folded.

I thought about it for a bit, and said, "I'll pay you $5 if you can show me a hand worse then QQ.", then mucked my AK face up.

She said, "you snake!" and showed QQ. I tossed her a $5 chip anyway, and she tossed it back at me with a laugh. She said, "Don't patronize me!". I said, "I have nothing but respect for you young lady."

I ended up stacking her twice when she couldn't let go TPTK.

Yeah... obviously not 150bb deep. Dunno why I said that.

I would just overlimp preflop. We've got an aggro image and a $11 raise after a couple of limpers isn't going to narrow the field at all. This hand plays well multiway, so let's just see a flop in position keeping our SPR sky high and then use our aggrotard image to our advantage postflop if we nail the flop. A raise also sets up an SPR which we'll have to consider stacking off to postflop with TP + this stack size and we're often up against dominating hands. I'd be ready to really switch gears at this point at this table (i.e. start nitting it up).

Aggrotard image + top two + smallish SPR = stack off on the flop. I'd also bet large for immediate value although that does set up some weird stack sizes on turn, but whatever.

I'd also shove over this donk on the turn with these stacks sizes.

I think postflop was fine, but I really don't think our preflop method is correct for this table.
