Nope. You are pot committed for sure. Though his raise otf in that spot is pretty strong, if he has aces or AJ just pay him off and gg. Otherwise, at this level I think enough people show up with worse here often enough that it's profitable.

Interesting spot. You can't fold once you c/r turn. I guess if we were way deeper we could find a fold but not 100BB deep.

For the record his most likely holding is AJ obv given preflop.

I would prob lead turn FWIW.

can you ever fold? yeah.
should you ever fold? nope.
agree with bwslim, if we are deeper there are some scenarios, but not for 100bb ever.

Search for IBelieveInChipKelly's "I am results oriented" thread.

Because that's what this is, results oriented. No, you can never, ever fold.

And if you were deeper it would still be a very easy decision imo.

There are 3 hands that beat you and pretty much any jack is doing the same thing, not to mention the rare 88.

You can never fold.

I ended up shipping the pot, but I tanked for a solid 1-2 minutes before calling. He didn't end up showing his hand.

If villain shipped for 300 more I'd still have an instacall boner.

Don't think so when he c/r flop then b/3b over a c/r. In that case getting 250 bb seems kinda bad though its highly villain dependent of course

U would never ask this question if u won the hand I assume but this is an obvious call. AA would prob have raised pre so AJ is the only concern. An aggressive player could raise this pot with QJ/KJ and 88 is more likely than AA given the EP limp.

He didn't c/r flop. Most Ppl still open a hand like AJ even in EP. He could have 88, Jx, AcXc, etc. We Have most of his range crushed.

GRUNCH

if effective stacks were 900bb then sure, you could fold

but with eff stacks 100bb, there is no way on God's green earth you can fold here. You have the third nuts (very unlikely V has AA) and 99% of all LLSNL players would stack off with Jx or eights full...

Obviously, since you started this thread odds are you ran into AJ, but seriously, folding here is just not profitable.

The only way a fold is correct here is if you know for 100% fact V is never shoving with eights full or Jx. Then yeah, if that is the case, you can easily fold. But for 99.999% of the villains you will face, this isn't even remotely the case, hence why a call here for 100bb is mandatory and +EV...

If villain will take the above line with 88 then we still call. And vast majority of villains at this level are playing eights full as if its the nuts so no way I'm folding. Granted, I don't think i'd have a boner, but I would still make the call.

No reason to c/r if you're not willing to call a shove. Opens betting again. If u are worried he has AJ then flat and see river. As played call shove.

You ship that all day and love it, his most obviose holdings are not aj, it's clubs he rr you on the flop when he made his flush, most players at this level aren rr with 2 pr when there is a flush everybody sees that flush a mile away

Guys guys this is a CLEAR FOLD!

That is if V has shown us AA or AJ before we acted lol.

No OP we should never find a fold with given stack sizes.
