Had over 30 hand histories with Villain.
Villain is an old grandpa reg at the local casino and is a fish.
Villain is very loose preflop, chasing draws, calling down everything with top pair, two pairs on any dynamic boards without hestitation.

Almost everyone have over 100BB and a few regs i recognized are loose callers preflop.

Was playing 5/10 NLH and multiple limpers and i picked up AA in the SB.

I made it 10x BB and got 3 callers from UTG, MP (Villain) and HJ.

Flop 8 A 6
I made a cbet of 3/4 pot, UTG calls and MP calls. HJ folds.

Turn Q
I check here, UTG checks and MP bets 33% of the pot. I called, UTG folds.
Heads up to river.

River 4
I check here and Villain bets all in, 110BB bet.

Would you have called his river all in?

Straight forward ABC poker against fish.

If he has a lot of flush in his range, just fold.

So we're like ~200bb effective to start the hand? River bet is ~1/2 pot? We don't have to be good very often. But probably not a lot of bluffs in his line and we block possible worse value bets with hands like AQ.

Ya not a great spot and I don't mind an exploitable fold vs some villains w/ a lot of history but there's still a small chance he's value betting worse "putting you on AK or somet **** like that" w/ his small turn bet so I dunno man. It's probably still a fold; so many flushes in his range and even 57s that was bluffing turn got there.

I like checking turn with exactly this combo cause we block a lot of the continuing range that we would still beat and get called by, like AQ, AxXd, weighting their ranges to a lot of flushes esp. w/ flop being 4 ways.

TL;DR make an exploitable fold. Probably not enough worse value bets in his range and not enough bluffs. (but I wouldn't blame you if you called )

Is the effective stacks 100BB, or the villains AI bet?
If 100BB
On the flop 40BB,
On the turn 130BB with 60BB back this is a clear shove vs loose/passive

Although i agree that villain has alot of flush combos in his range but folding that spot would be an extremely exploitable fold because villain has the same tendency to shove river with any 2 pairs or sets which i have seen before. This was the thought process during the tank of the hand. Nevertheless, i called. xD

Fish can't exploit us. They aren't paying attention. Given your descrip, I don't think we are good 25% of the time here. I know it sucks to fold top set, but your hand is really a bluff catcher here.

He is betting 1100 and there's 500 in the pot? I probably fold but this situation is so tough to get a feel for not being live. I usually give older guys more respect for having the hand.

My rule- the more testosterone- the more bluffs.

Really depends on how well you know villian. I guess that's a cop out answer kind of.

Pull a Maria Ho and fold your set, bro.
