BTN $7500 is a very loose aggressive whale, sticky post flop but doesn't really get out of line, usually has the goods at showdown. Seems pretty solid. BB is a loose station on tilt who sat down for $500 like half an hour ago, then topped up to $2000, then to $6500 in frustration after losing a pot with I assume an AA/KK/AK type hand versus my flopped flush. Plays straightforward but is not a reg; bet size/post flop action = hand strength. I am in the SB $5000. This hand happened about 15 mins after the above mentioned hand.

2/5
BTN raises to 45, I call with 34 in SB, BB raises to 240, BTN calls, I...

This deep, I am not sure whether this is a call or fold pre. At 100bbs I fold to the initial raise ofc

Fold the first time and now fold again.

34s has serious RIO (reverse implied odds) implications, plus you are out of position.

Fold twice

Don't play this deep if you find spots like this questionable

Also lol at obv fold with 100bigs when it sounds like the avg stack is 1000bigs

So btn opens 9xbb and hero wants to defend? This seems questionable at best. Calling the extra $200 seems much better given implied odds, but its still fine to fold. Postflop our hand is pretty easy to play, the major danger comes from flush over flush.

Snap fold. OOP and whale and doesn't get out of line. Not sure what you're trying to do.

$45 from the BTN? Come on man. If this is the avg open size. This is slightly bigger than a $5/$10 game.

OOP, just fold the first time. In position and this deep, I get it

($45 open happens all the time in one of my deep $1/$3 games, so this doesn't seem weird to me.)

Fold pf. Then pick up your chips and leave the game.

It is rare that someone in two sentences manages to post several contradictory observations. Is he aggressive or does he call a lot (passive)? Is he a whale or is he solid? Is he loose or does he have the goods regularly?

Implied odds hands can be +EV in position. You're out of position. When deep, position is the most important element of the game. Read Bobby Hoff's commentary at the end of the first HOC series to understand more.

These two elements are why you should get out of this game. If there is anyone even remotely good in this game, they're going to take your money over time.

You're playing $5/$10. Not $1/$3 at that point.
