2/5 Hero straddles button to 10…SB calls..BB calls Hero gets dealt AQo on the Button and makes it 50 total…BB a solid competent player who has been losing and is a bit frustrated jams for 290 more…Hero?

I think this is close (AKo seems a clear call, and AJo sems a clear fold); a lot comes down to your read. Against a regular, this is like AA, KK, AK every time, but if he's frustrated it could well be something like 99.

Also probably 60 pre.

Snap call. Not close. His line is stupid, he's potentially a little tilty and you're really high in your perceived range. You just don't go folding AQo for 29 BB BU vs. blinds.

Huh. Not gunna lie I thought this was a 1/2 hand and didn't read well.

Call is probably fine but you'll get shown a lot of AK/AQs, 88-QQ here so be prepared to lose a bunch. Sometimes you'll get shows AJs here but not too often I don't think.

I call for one reason only: that my button raise could have been made on anything from a good hand down to a piece of festering goat cheese (I suppose the savvy poker guru way to say it is "I had a wide range"). Therefore, the BB would have been justified in shoving with a pretty wide range himself. He may be trying to "stop the steal," and that is a phrase that I will never use again until a certain orange orangutan dies.

Seems relatively close, depending on how light BB can jam.

BB limp/shoved your button straddle. Do you often raise your straddle or is it a raise-heavy table? If so, fold (gg has AA/KK or maybe AKs); if not, snap.
