Call flop and turn or get it in on the flop? Call flop and turn or get it in on the flop?

Villain is mid 60's guy who has been playing passively opens to 8 UTG. Hero makes it 24 in the HJ with AcAd. he calls fairly quickly. Hero is fairly new to table and appears mid 20's.

Flop Jc8c4c.

Pot: 47

V checks. Hero bets 24, villain fairly quickly raises to 65, he has about 100 behind after he raises.

There aren't that many scare cards if he has QQ or KK, but it would suck if a club came and kills the action for his combos of QQ or KK without a club. An A could kill action from KK and a K could kill action from QQ. Against a nittier older player though, I could see him laying down QQ if I just ship it. If he does have a bluff like KQ or AK with a club this possibly lets him get away from it.

So eff stacks are ~63bb?

Just get it in. OMC doesn't have KQ in his range here tho. He's not c/rai with AKc either (though that'd be just 2 combos anyways). I think you're squarely up against JJ&QQ.

I believe we are up against JJ and QQ as well. If V raises with JJ and the 3/6 combos of QQ that have the Qc then we have 63% equity so I'd just shove as as I believe V will call with this entire range as he already has half his stack invested.

I'd just get it in now.

Depending on his range and tendencies, it might turn out to theoretically be better to wait for the turn, but my suspicion is that waiting for the turn might be slightly better or a lot worse.

Jamming is profitable now, so just get it in.

I jammed and he folded...I still think jamming was correct but it was surprising to see a fold.

Just another one of those 1/2 spazz weird no sence bluffs.
Shipping is the right move, he would shut down on the turn anyway.
