super limpy awesome $1/2 table. Moved recently to get position on whale. Stacks are mostly around $300 except for whale and hero.

BB is passive Asian lady in 50īs. Fit or fold postflop.

Button is MAWG. Donīt have a good read on him but I would guess he has a typical reg range. And fit or foldish postflop.

Whale with 2 limpers including whale with $700 to my left, hero ($500) raises to $15 A8 in CO, button ($300) calls, BB calls ($200).

Hero is 20something white kid. Chatty. Seen as TAGish. Not been caught out of line.

Flop($41) j52

BB checks, hero bets $30, Button calls quickly, BB folds.

On this dry board mostly planning to give up on turn.

Turn: ($98) K

Hero bets $65.

pre is fine

flop: you can probably bet like 20. if he's not going anywhere for 20, he's not going anywhere for 30. if he's folding, he's folding to both. plus the board is pretty dry, you're probably not ripping in 3/4 psb on this board with made hands.

turn:
K is probably a better barrel card than the A. really the question is: are you ripping 3 here? because he probably has a J and if he doesnt release now, you're gonna have to push more to get him off of it.

edit:

then again, if he calls here, i'm not sure i want to rip 3. probably just give up at that point. hope we bink an A and he has QJ or JT...

I would cbet just $25 on this flop, whether I had a hand or not.

The barrel is good, and I would usually 3-barrel it ($110 is good) vs. non-stations unless he suddenly starts acting very deliberately or breathing heavily when he calls our turn bet.

My line on this flop is usually: cbet, then barrel any club, king, or 8, check/call an ace, and give up on other cards. Maybe we should barrel 3s and 4s as well...not sure.

Yup, 25 flop.

Barrel turn for sure.

Likely again on river.

Try to dodge KJ.

Also, if you won't fire again on river, then don't barrel turn imo.

Edit: didn't see you bet 65... Good.

25 on flop, AP on turn, good double barrel and sizing.

Can you elaborate on this Willy?

I'm pretty sure I would have given up on the river unless I had a tell from V.

I think Jx can peel the turn. Some combos of AT or AQ are possible. I do think the turn barrel gets some folds, but I'm not totally convinced it's profitable on its own if it's used as a "one and done" without following up on the river.

I would throw in another barrel here.

Dry board, passive line from button and an overcard hit.

I don't 3 barrel as much anymore, very read dependant whenever I do. So as for that, I simply don't know.

I do know that I would be betting smaller on both streets. One bc I Bluff a lot and I want more bang for my buck. Two bc w the sizing we choose we do not leave the BB enough of an spr to fold often on river.

He goes to flop w 185 behind. If we wanted to 3 barrel my goal would be to leave him w at least 110ish otr so he can at least consider folding. 20/45/ai would he my line if that what I was considering.
