First off this is a friend rather than me and therefore there are some gaps in the information and thus I don't expect the best analysis available......
2-5 home game, NYC, pretty actiony loose gambly table (in general....).
UTG - straddler - $600 - gambly, not hugely relevant to hand other than our preflop sizing (purely because of the way it played out)
MP1/MP2 - $700 - same reads as UTG, again same lack of relevance entirely on how it played out
Hero - SB - covers by a lot - young 20s Asian, has had to show down some bluffs but in general has had it at at showdown, running hot
BB - $800 - seems fairly balanced on the whole and I would say is the best player at the table here. H is not scared to tangle with him and he certainly has some moves.
OTTH:
UTG straddles to $10, MP1 and 2 call, we look down at K
K
and for some reason decide that making it $24 is the correct sizing. Clearly it isn't, but we do that anyway.
BB then makes it $59, all others fold?
We? I can see merits to flatting and 4b here (hang on, is a straddle technically a 3b so our $24 is a 4b already? No don't think so....) as we're closing the action and it's already HU, and I think that if we 4b to say $165 he only continues with KK-AA or AK and maybe QQ. Definitely don't think he gets in 80 straddles with QQ anyway? Certainly not JJ?
We decided to flat
Flop is Q J Tr ($148)
H checks, V $50 (?)
We flat (?)
T - brick (like 4x) ($248)
H checks, V $50 again....
We? Yes that's right, we decide to flat again.
River - brick (6x no flush) ($348)
We?
All street thoughts welcomed. I appreciated there's not all the info required here for a full analysis but I couldn't really figure out wtf to do here on most streets, so all help welcome.
