I completely butchered a hand. Especially interested on conments on turn and river.

Villain is a solid, aggressive woman in her early 30s.

Preflop:

UTG straddles to 4
Villain (MP) calls
CU calls
Hero (BU, QJs) calls
SB calls
BB calls
UTG checks

I figured out that people at 1/2 often limp with KJ, AT so I sorta gave up raising with weaker broadways. I would still raise with KQ, AJ etc

Flop

AKTr

Everybody checks.
Hero bets 10.
Villain calls. The rest folds.

Probably too small in hindsight. I figured that nobody was going to be too strong on this board and didn’t want to scare away KQ type of hands.

Pot now 40.

Turn

K

Villain leads for 25.
Hero calls.

For whatever reason I hated that K more than I should have. Folding is out of question. I thought about raising but when she shoves, aren’t we literally hoping for KQ? We are blocking it , too. At this point I realized she might have gone for a limp reraise preflop with a monster.

River

T

Villains leads for 35. With two boards on the river Hero elects to fold, hoping for a split at best

Much bigger OTF. Pot is $28, minus rake, you have the nuts, and position. Bet $25 and hope someone thinks it looks FOS/get value from the crap aces they limp.

Rest of the hand looks fine, though I would often make the crying call OTR.

Good fold, villain most likely has the K although you are getting a really good price. I’d say bet at least $15 on the flop. What’s villains stack size too?

Honestly, just seems like a bad run out, I don’t think the hand was butchered at all. I really like the button limp here and flop play seems fine.

Unless stacks are shallow Im still raising this pre. Offsuit I probably just limp along, but suited Im looking to build a pot.

Id go a bit bigger on the flop, maybe $15 or even $20. There are like 12 million combos of hands that hit some piece of this flop and will continue. The hands that whiffed this flop arent putting in another dime anyways.

On the turn I think you can raise. Two pairs and sets likely lead the flop, so those can be discounted.

The river is close, but I think you can fold here. There are tons of Kings in his range, but I have actually seen Ax take this bizarre line at times, so for a good price I might call this off, especially if the guy has some sort of bet sizing tell.

Your hand is too good to just limp behind on the BTN. Raise it up and clear out some of the riff raff.

I raise every single time with QJs on the BTN with two limpers. I think most people need to widen their PF raising range significantly in LP. You win bigger pots when you hit, can take a bunch of free cards when necessary, can bluff raise OTF w/ draws/air to a bigger absolute number to put pressure on V's.

AP, definitely bet bigger on the flop. Vs. 5 other players, I probably go 20-25. The stickier V's are, the bigger.

The turn is probably a raise for value. V has a lot more hands that you beat than that beat you. KQ, KQ, K9, a bunch of random aces.

The river is probably a fold. V's don't bet twice often enough with air or just a naked ace into this double-paired board after you call the turn to make it a profitable call, IMO. But it's probably closer than I think.

I'm betting that flop bigger and I'm raising that turn every time. No idea why you just called, that's leaving a lot of $ on the table.
