2/5 Hero: (1000)
Villain (700)
Hero: early 30s white guy regular at the room has hoodie on...been playing pretty tight and solid at the table.
Villain: mid to late 20s reg who plays 2-5, 5-10. He was new to the table and I really haven't played too much with him before. He has raised more than average in his short time at the table but lol sample size.
Ppl have recently left the table and we are playing 6 handed
Folds to V on BTN who opens to 25, SB folds, Hero is in BB with 9
T
calls 25
Flop: (52) T
6
6
Hero checks, V bets 25, Hero calls
Turn: (102) K
Hero checks, V bets 75, Hero calls
River: (252) A
Hero checks, V bets 110, Hero ???
So normally I just muck the 9To pre- and 3- bet against a BTN raise with it like 10% of the time, I normally will call with 9Ts against a BTN raise though. So prob a leak calling against a good reg here.
Flop: obv a good flop here for us, V can have a six here but it's a small part of his BTN open range. IMO no sense in turning our hand into a bluff by c/rai, thoughts on leading though? Perhaps V will read a lead on this board as weak and attack?
On the turn I don't think a K is a great barrel card as I can peel a KQ, Kx9x,QJ etc. a lot on the flop and I am never folding TP or OESD to the turn barrel, and I don't think most V's are opening Kx little cardx from the BTN. On the river the A is a good barrel card IMO as any A opens the BTN and now beats all one pair combos that I may have had. I thought about going for a c/rai to rep QJ but decided to let sleeping dogs lie. Any thoughts greatly appreciated
Edit: also thought it was interesting that he dropped to half pot on the river while betting 3/4 pot on turn...I think I can profitably call a half-pot bet even with the A falling, which makes me suspicious...
