Hi,

Saturday my dad and I went to atlantic city to play poker. I only had 60 because I lost most of my last check to online poker. I couldn't pass the opportunity to play at one of my favorite card rooms.

I generally try really hard the first go. After 90 mins I left the table with $240 and cashed in my chips. I then played $15 min bet black jack, starting with $60, and left that table with $290.

I guess my question is, was this a decent win from a gambler's point of view? I ask because I'm stuck close to $15k from 3.5 years of poker, ~4k on ACR, betonline, and Merge combined, but I was really really novice for half that time, and only now am starting to beat it. so i figure with some luck and good decision making i can collect it back within a year, only then will I be able to feel content.

Before this is closed/moved.

Spending time with dad and winning at the casino is an enjoyable combo ... nice!

Losing $15k on-line, not so much, especially if you were playing micro stakes. In 3.5 yrs hopefully you showed gradual improvement. This (2+2) is the place that will help you get better. GL!

P.S. Don't forget the study time.

Well I mean Ive won close to $1,000 already on ACR in the past 2 weeks, giving me plenty of buyins/opportunities to take care of 1/3 of the loss in just a few more weeks.

I mean I don't even get a pat on the back for beating my table live?

I am very happy that you won a bunch of money play poker this in the last few weeks.
Having said that, we don't need multiple threads telling us about how good/bad you are.

My comments from the other thread still apply.

But to be honest, if you lost that much in that amount of time, you are clearly not good at this game and you need a LOT of work to get better.
For the time being, there will be no 'win rate' for you. There will only be a loss rate. And at this point the question is, how much enjoyment do you get out of the game. And what is it costing you? If you are losing $10/hour playing the game but you would otherwise be spending $20 an hour at the bar drinking, then this is a good choice for you.
If you are doing it to make money however then you should consider stopping playing for a while while you read some books and learn a lot more about the game. It will benefit you a lot more in the long run.

Good luck to you,
